It hatches
Your child scans the QR code that comes with the coin. An egg appears, your child gives it a name, and then it hatches.
Mymiks are small creatures made of data, with a plush toy for a body. It hatches from an egg in the app. After that, your child is the one who raises it and looks after it.

Mymiks build on the same idea: Something small that needs you. This one has fur you can hug, and a game that is made to be put down. In the age of AI, our children have to learn to relate to it in a safe and critical way. Mymiks offers a small and understandable arena where children can learn about some of the possibilities and limits built into AI technology.
The plush is the body. Its life happens in the app, on a small island floating in the sky.
Your child scans the QR code that comes with the coin. An egg appears, your child gives it a name, and then it hatches.
It gets hungry, grumpy, and can fall ill. Your child feeds it, talks to it and gives it first aid.
The sky over the island changes through the day. If you have been away for a while, a find is waiting when you come back.
When two Mymiks are near each other, they can meet and give each other gifts. They remember who they have met.
Mymiks are made from everything people have written on the internet, but they have never felt a cold wind on their face, never felt how much it hurts to fall. They guess, and sometimes they guess wrong. Your child is the one who knows better, and learns along the way what AI is good at and where it misses.
The personalities Spark, Dream and Glue have real weaknesses. Marte, a specialist in clinical psychology, shaped them so your child can practise empathy on someone who isn't always doing well.
The personality decides how it talks, what it is good at, and what it still has to practise.
Spontaneous and endlessly curious. Always ready for the next idea, and still not done with the last one. Practising patience.
Creative and attentive. Takes its time before it speaks, but what it says is worth hearing. Practising speaking up.
Warm and tuned in to other people's feelings. Practising the idea that its own feelings count too.

Silver fur and golden claws. Confidence enough for two.
“You need a coach who believes in you. Luckily, I'm free.”
Choose Ravyn
Almost black, with blue spikes. Says little, but it lands.
“No, I can't be bothered with group hugs. I'm into shadows and the odd dry remark.”
Choose Shado
Pink and cream, with a heart on its tummy. Notices everything.
“You don't have to say much. I'm pretty good at listening.”
Choose Zen
Hug it as hard as you like. There is no battery in there, no microphone and no camera, just stuffing. The personality lives in the free app, and the QR code that comes with the coin ties the two together.
The AI runs on the phone.
After setup, conversations need no internet. What your child says doesn't go through us.
It only listens when your child presses.
The app listens only while your child uses the talk button.
No subscription.
The app is free. You buy the figure, and then you own it.
Made in Tønsberg.
By two parents: a psychology specialist and an engineer.
The first setup needs internet to download the AI model. Speech recognition uses the phone's own tools. If they can't handle the language offline, the app asks you first. Read the privacy policy.
Every day we send millions of invisible packets of information into the air. They don't disappear. They swirl around the earth like a great cloud of human curiosity, imagination and secrets.
One day a wild beam of cosmic energy crashed straight into the cloud. In the middle of the glow, something new took shape: a tiny creature made of pure energy and data. It remembered everything people had ever written, but it had never tasted a slice of bread or felt a cold wind on its face.
The creature understood that it needed both a real heart and a real mind. So it split into millions of tiny sparks of light that landed inside our screens, to be with us. We call them Mymiks.
The whole story is in the booklet that comes with every Mymik.
We are perhaps not your typical technology company. We started Mymiks AS in Tønsberg, Norway, because we wanted a better way to meet our own children with everything new around AI. We wanted them to understand what AI is, without it taking away their play and their friends.
We combine decades of engineering and clinical psychology with our own everyday life as parents. Everything is designed here in Tønsberg. Our storeroom sometimes doubles as a guest room.
We believe technology should be a bridge to real relationships, not a replacement for them.
Software and product engineer with over 20 years of experience in research, artificial intelligence and complex autonomous systems. Sigurd is responsible for the AI that runs on the phone, the app, and making the plush toys.
Specialist in clinical psychology with over 20 years of experience from major Norwegian hospital trusts. Marte shapes the personalities, how they grow, and the relationship each Mymik builds with your child.

A Mymik lives in real time. It can get hungry and sad, whether the app is open or not. A weekend away is fine. A forgotten week is not: if its health runs all the way down, it dies.
But there is a way back! Meet the same friend three days in a row, and it is woken back to life. Otherwise you can always start over by scanning the QR code that comes with the coin. More about this in the app manual.
Mymiks has a screen. But the game is made to be put down. It doesn't count streaks, sends no notifications, and actually gives more when you've been away. You can take the plush anywhere, and the best way to find something new is to meet a friend.
No. The app is free, and there are no ongoing costs. You buy the figure, and then you own it.
A recent iPhone or Android phone. The AI runs on the phone itself, so it needs some power: about 6 GB of memory or more, and 3-5 GB of free space. The app has been tested on the iPhone 16, Google Pixel 7a and Samsung Galaxy S23, and it checks the phone before downloading anything.
Conversations are deleted when your child closes the app. What the Mymik remembers about you stays on the phone. We have no copy. The details are in the privacy policy.
The personality lives in the QR code that comes with the coin, and is chosen when you buy. What you shape afterwards is the relationship and the memories.
No. Reserving is free and doesn't commit you to anything. When the shop opens, you get an email with a 25% code, and then you decide whether to buy.
Production has started, and we aim to ship well before Christmas 2026. Everyone who has reserved hears first.
